Barnes Noble Booksellers - Glendora

It is one of my favorite places in the World, books on all topics, current magazines, good coffee, additionally they sell toys, calendars, movies, records, board games. And items to draw and paint. I can spend hours here and take amazing books home.

I saw someone compare this place to a sauna on here and they sure weren't wrong.I think they might just be trying to emulate the conditions of Venus because it was hotter than the devil's vacation home in there! Seriously, the temperature was cranked up so high, I half expected to see lava flowing between the bookshelves. Trying to focus on book shopping was nearly impossible when I was busy wondering if I was about to melt into a puddle. I came to escape into some great reads, not to experience a dry run of interplanetary colonization.

Bookstore or Sauna? You Decide! Honestly, I love a good bookstore as much as the next bookworm, but the Barnes Noble in Glendora felt more like a tropical vacation gone wrong. It was hotter than the surface of Mercury in there, and I swear I saw a paperback start to curl from the heat. It was so scorching that focusing on anything other than how much I was sweating became a Herculean task. I know we’re in Southern California, but could we maybe not recreate the Sahara inside the store? A little AC would go a long way. After all, a cozy bookshop should feel like a cool, breezy escape, not a fire planet.

Wonderful bookstore. Nice to still have somewhere to go to buy books. It's marvelous. They have cut back quite a bit on their video section, which is a shame, because they had a great selection. But they still have quite a few.
