Chick N Chips - GLENELG SOUTH

Went here about a week ago and ordered fish and a small chips. Chips were powdery and soft and the fish resembled that of an overcooked chicken, the batter was even worse. The design of the shop is awesome so I had pretty high hopes with the food but was sorely disappointed :

The fish tastes fresh and they have a great range of gluten free options. Service can be a little slow sometimes and they are often out of stock in crumbed prawns however I will always go back.

We have chicken burgers and chips fairly regularly (monthly) from this shop since it has opened. The service and food is quite inconsistent. We've had some great burgers from here and chips are generally pretty good. However tonight we ordered via phone and we're told it was a 20 min wait. We got here 20 mins later and waited a further 20 mins for what amounted to soggy and lukewarm chips and an average burger that wasn't started until we were there waiting. Need to be consistent....

Love this place! I frequent here, and have never been disappointed. I love the shredded chicken pack, chips are always fresh... Great friendly service too.

Unfortunately food was not great. Food tasted stale and I am not sure if I was accidentally given gluten free bread or something? Produce didn't seem fresh to me. Lovely staff - service was all good.
