Granite City Food & Brewery - Northbrook

We asked four people at different times if the fans could be adjusted as the room was very cold. No one made the effort to even try.. For most of the evening we were the only ones in the room. The good part was my rare burger was well done and cheerfully replaced.

Food was just ok. Service was lacking. Overall a disappointing experience.

First time here and to be honest, I was a little apprehensive after reading some not so stellar reviews on Yelp. However I was pleasantly surprised for the most part. I did have an issue with getting seated. The man up front placed us in the bar, and its real noisy. We were meting another couple and we do not like to shout. I went up and asked to be seated elsewhere, He told me there were no open tables. I went back to the table and the place was half empty. I then had to demand to be moved elsewhere. He was a Jerk. And from reading some of the reviews perhaps he is the problem. The rest of the evening was great. Our server, Sheryl, was absolutely outstanding. She was engaging, funny and attentive and she knows the menu front to back. She was also training another new server and I can see why she was tasked for that. Just wonderful. The drinks and good came out in a timely manner. The food was really good. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Service was great, the host and the waitresses were very nice, but the place was kind of dirty and the food wasn’t good at all.
