I did not get the name of the waitress, but she was entertaining, engaged, prompt, helpful, not to mention a real beauty. there were five of us, we were all full and glad we visited.
After being seated in a small waiting area, we noticed that it took about five minutes before any staff acknowledged us. Eventually, two servers walked past us without even greeting us. When a table became available, we were shown to a spot next to a young family with a fussy baby. The food, thankfully, was amazing. However, the service left much to be desired. As someone who's worked in the food and beverage industry for over 25 years, I understand that everyone can have an off day. But the treatment we received was just unacceptable. Our drinks were never refilled, and my soup was served without the proper garnishes of lime and cilantro. When I inquired about the missing garnish, I was met with an eye roll and an exasperated sigh. During my 15 years as a server coach for some of the largest restaurant groups in the country, I always emphasized the importance of customer service. It seems that this restaurant might only provide good service to locals or those of Mexican descent. I’m giving this place two stars solely for the excellent food, which is authentically prepared and not overly Americanized. Unfortunately, despite the delicious meal, the service was so poor that my wife and I won’t be returning.
The food was incredible, and the service was exceptional. If you find yourself in Globe, AZ, this is definitely a place you should check out. Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 5/5.

We ordered chicken enchiladas served with rice and beans. While the rice was a bit bland, mixing in the salsa improved it. I prefer that to overly seasoned rice. The beans were good, and the enchilada was decent. The mole sauce wasn’t as strong as the red or poblano varieties that I usually enjoy, but it was still tasty, especially with all the cheese. Overall, it was a decent meal for around $11 per plate. I do wish they used only white meat, but I understand the cost considerations. I’d definitely feel comfortable trying something else from the menu the next time we pass through. That salsa was a standout!
