Castle Manor Inn - Gloucester

Perfect for the price at about 60% less than other places in Gloucester. A historic mansion with two motel-style wings. We were assigned a room in the later. Although the bathroom might be a little dated, it was charming rather than worn. Actually, the room was renovated, clean and large. Although, the 2 beds were advertised as double, my 6'2 partner was very comfortable. I think they are queen size. Additionally, the staff was welcoming and the view from their enormous porch is nice, overlooking the river, wind turbines, and distant downtown. Minor issue or rather concern is that the water can get boiling hot so be careful, which really was my lack of awareness rather then their problem; better to have too much heat than a cold shower or bath. I would stay here again, eventhough we usually stay in 5 star accommodations because it really is convenient, clean, and cute.

The people at the manor and the beautiful setting itself made my daughter’s wedding magical. They were so accommodating and kind, the food was the best we’ve ever experienced at a wedding, and it was exquisite.

Service staff and location are all outstanding. Castle Manor Inn was the location for our private dinner and the staff made everything very easy for us so we could enjoy a delicious meal with incredible views.

Fantastic team of wonderful people. We picked this location for our wedding ceremony and reception. Family members from around the country stayed here and everyone raved about it. Thank you CMI!

Our room must have not been looked at before check in…what looked like bugs legs were on the floor, not one hanger in the closet and only 2 full sized towels for two adults. The staff is friendly and it has pretty views. Has lots of potential, but just needs a caring housekeeping staff….
