Drift - Gloucester

Servers Dom and Paris were ????, food was ????, vibes were ???????????????? would recommend getting cocktails ????????

Been here a few times, but tonight was different. They brought in this band (think it was northwest fox) and they made all the difference. Super impressed with the vibe, service was quick too. If you?re stopping by Gloucester check them out (esp on Thursday, seems like this band plays here a lot)

Just tried Drift for the first time last week after moving here in the Fall. Atmosphere in the restaurant is nice and relaxing. Servers and staff are friendly and attentive. Food and drinks were good. Only complaint is the prices are a bit high and the food portions a bit small. Their old menu online seemed to have a wide variety of dishes of varying prices, but I think they just switched to a new Spring/Summer menu based on small plates. I ordered the stuffies (notice it's plural) and it was $17 for 1 stuffed clam. A bit more than I'd be willing to spend, even on a more indulgent evening out. Others in my party ordered various other small plates and drinks as well, and price to portion/size ratio seemed equally as high.

The ambience is really nice and the playlist was great. The staff is super chill, too and didn?t bother us at all. We got the crab salad and it definitely wasn?t bad, however the portions are a lot smaller than expected, so I wouldn?t recommend coming here on a completely empty stomach

Use to LOVE drift .. miss their drinks; but I couldn?t support the switch to small plates.. a small plate of food for the same price of a full meal. They also removed a lot from their old menu. They recently swapped to ?tapas style?, except they kept the same price as a regular meal. ?Shareable plates? but not really. You?ll def want to share the bill but not enough food on each plate to really share unless you just want a bite. Good drinks and good music? nice location with a good view to just hang out; but don?t come hungry. Tip: Minglewood offers full plates, good prices, good drinks and music right across the street. I don?t work here?. Nor there! Just a Gloucester local who used to frequent drift and had to find an affordable place with same vibe)!
