Latitude 43 - Gloucester

Overall we had a great time. but our table was right next to the automatic door to the terrace and it was super distraction.

Wide 43 was great. the service was very responsive and eating excellent (except the braided short ribs that were not as tender as they should have been - probably was a bad cut on this day; pick up the seafood! . the managers were dynamic and responsive. handled a surprise birthday cake we had brought in. we are coming back to the final.

The top of the fish was excellent and debondant. I had the scallops that were very good. I want to try the sushi next. very good service and eat and ambiente on the water.

I had seen latitude 43 on phantom gourmet and decided that during the stay in beauport I would go to dinner there one night. that was not worth the price and I would have better off the money otherwise.

We always enjoy Lat 43 and the service was great for our special event and generally everything was really good except for this time and the last several times when I have ordered any variety of salmon sushi, it is fishy and stringy and I couldn't eat it. The tuna tasted metallic as well. Sometimes the fish buying is just better than others I guess. Spicy salmon press box used to be my favorite sushi of all time. I hope it gets better again.
