I have to say, this was better when the last food service company was looking after the lounge. The food is always the same. Pasta, potatoes, overly salty edemame and a horrific cold broccoli salad.... The saving grace is the self service bar opens at noon....soup is always overly salty chicken soup, or some kind of rice based stuff that looks like it comes from a bag. I have to say that the star alliance (united, etc) have a way better spread; cheese, veggies, etc. Air Canada, it's time to step the lounge game up a notch...UPDATE NOV_2021Lounge is open again with no hot food at all. Small selection of cold pre pack items, cut fruit and yoghurt. some muffins and coffee. That's it. Warning, if you come here for an early flight and were hoping for breakfast, you are out of luck. The full lounge is open in Toronto. The staff are very nice and understanding but a piece of toast would have been nice...
One of the smaller lounges that I have been in. It does have all of the basics. Seating, couple of TVs around with either sports on or the news. I find that the food has been getting really basic throughout the years. While I was here they had a very well done bruschetta, but then after just laid out nacho chips with salsa and sour cream. There were a couple of additional dishes like a cauliflower salad and a quinoa salad. There was also two different types of soup. Fresh baguette cut in pieces was fresh and chewy. They have a couple of coffee machines, and of course wine, spirits and beer. The staff here seem to be friendlier than some of the other lounges I have been in. That makes this lounge a little more desirable to go to.
Nice lounge and all. Service is great and very clean. But good is very basic. It's an average lounge.
Worked here for the last 3 years. Last day is today. Gonna miss this place. Great airport.
