We called before we make a point to go there, they said they close at 3pm for lunch . Drove about 45min to get there from Mt Tamborine , and they said the kitchen already closed . And tried to argue about advanced call, all...he said that “ im sorry about that , we only serve coffee now “ We wont go back even over the good reviews
I ordered Beef Rendang and had some wine and Bintang at this restaurant. I was impressed by the service and the spacious covered outdoor seating at the back. The food I had was delicious. Pleasant Street is a Tim Buckley song. I also took photos of the food.
Not very impressed with this restaurant. Went out with a group of mates and the dishes were sloppy in their presentation. Some of us did not even know there was dessert available. The staff were ok but food was absolute hodgepodge and severely overly priced....Some of the dishes were half cooked and the chicken had gristle and fat all over it. The cutlery and plates were stained with back dots. I would not recommend any of my readers to go here because it was plain awful the chicken served was only chicken legs I could see no other part of the bird on offer. Wonder why that was. Totally ridiculous experience never worth repeating!
Three of us ate in this restaurant last Saturday night we were quite excited to eat some Indonesian dishes that we enjoyed whilst on holiday in Java and Bali over the last twenty years. We had the dumplings and corn fritters for entree they were...tasty. We had the pork, beef rendang and salmon for mains, the pork and beef were very obviously microwaved from frozen and still had cold parts. The pork was not edible it was actually rancid and we did not eat more than 1 bite each. They took the pork off the bill. The salmon did not taste fresh. We will not return.
