Booked the day, luck there was availability and the Lord on the phone was nice and... provided they would make it something special that immediately felt welcome to me. We arrived a little early and the bar at the entrance is cozy with a great atmosphere. The bartender had a good knowledge of the cocktails and helped me select one, my son ordered a cocktail, we sat in the lounge area and they were delivered immediately and delicious. When I was picked to our food seats, I was blown away a bit, it's a massive place, the energy from all the tables was electric at all their different stages of eating. I'm devastated, I can't remember the name of our waiter, he was nice and prompt and also helped me select another cocktail and a tasting from the drinks menu. I liked the mobile music on every cooking car, made for a great sing-along atmosphere... I stood up and did the Macerena with him lol, all the others were shy. Our chef was Perry, he delivered the perfect balance of humor, cooking skills, shared attention with the 3 groups at our table and cooked all foods to absolute perfection. My son, who originally didn't want to come and said he didn't like Japanese food, had the time of his life and ate everything. I honestly could not do anything with the experience, at the high end of the price, but to expect and value was totally with it. Thanks for making part of our special trip together so amazing crew!
The layout and floor area of this restaurant is much larger than expected at the reception. The Teppanyaki area is well designed, with 'rooms' for large groups and/or parties. We were offered a seating area where a section was already halfway through...their meal and we were able to observe the cooking entertainment while waiting for us. When our chef arrived, we also had a nice experience, although our chef has made different 'tricks' and less, compared to the table we were watching. Still good entertainment! The food was well cooked, steak supplied medium exactly as desired, indicating the experience and the perfect timing of the cook in the sea of the steak. A quibble salt passed over all dishes. Since diving sauce has already been provided, I would recommend to inform the cook that you want only a little salt in your food. Portion size was abundant and safe value for money compared to other Teppanyaki sites we were in Brisbane or suburbs. It'll be back.
I always love Misono, the food and the experience is fantastic. This time on Valentine's Day was a little disappointing. I chose the menu that included a variety of seafood including tonnase bug, and just like the cook I was told there is no mistake to replace it with shrimp. I got no time to rethink my selection, and honestly, if they had no mistake, they would have had to advise this before our order. Also very disappointing that such a restaurant did not stand all the necessary ingredients for Valentine's Day. If I had told you about the thing before the front, I would have ordered the lobster/wagyu. Double of one ingredient was too much and the experience
Great food, but terrible noise with loud music and overcrows with too many tables. Aim for families with continued snippets of “Sweet Caroline” is played a lot. Was on the market when it was Benihana. Chefs don't cook the main focus, as he can't hear... with so much ambient noise. We can't hear your friends either. Sizzler and the brother-in-law meet teppenyaki!
This was my first time at the restaurant, i was accompanied by my friend Maria who suggested the experience to me, the atmosphere was calming and comfortable, the food was tasty and the show of the live cooking in front of us at the table...was amazing the chef was skilled and good at keeping us entertained we ordered the Teppanyaki grills, it was full of different variety of cooked and raw foods that just blended in an amazing way the cost for that meal plus entertainment would cost about $24. The service was fair I would say they chef took time as he prepared though after the show started he was amazing at it, he started with a flames show and began on our meals serving each of us at the same time and with quick finesse, my friend and I enjoyed the meals and loved the scenery we suggest that you try the teppanyaki meal course each has different foods that blend well in one eating, the place was clean and most of all comfortable the restaurant has kind service workers who greet you with a smile as you walk in and accommodate your needs from start to end. lovely restaurant I'm sure I will be back with even more friends.
