Oh and the Merlot wasn't bad. We had the verandah platter, which was quite good, but the service was shabby god it makes a difference. While friendly, the young staff had no idea and showed up occasionally to say hello someone really needs to give these guys some direction. Overall the menu lacks any imagination or depth for what is presented as a sophisticated winery restaurant, the food depth and service really lets it down shame.
Great pasta, calamari and beef pie. Fresh salad, good service. Well worth the stop for lunch en route to Lamington National Park. Wine tasting a bonus, as was the lovely setting.
Had a champagne buffet breakfast here after a hot air balloon flight. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food in the buffet was always full. Really fresh juice and excellent variety of foods to suit everyone, including those with allergies. Would eat here again.
I visited for lunch on Saturday and had a wonderful time. The restaurant is located in an old farmhouse, and we sat on the veranda with a stunning view—definitely 5/5 for atmosphere. The food was quite good; the Caesar salad was nice, featuring two large crouton pieces and cold roasted chicken. I suspect the dressing might have come from a packet, but it was still great value. The vegetable lasagna was tasty and paired well with the organic red wine. Will I return? Absolutely! I can't wait to enjoy a pizza by the creek.
The location is great, and I really liked the setup, especially the alpaca farm. Unfortunately, the food at the restaurant was quite disappointing. I ordered two steaks, and what I received was a dish that tasted worse than a $15 steak from a beach house. It seemed like the chef simply boiled the steak, added some mustard sauce, and served it with boiled vegetables that had a slightly sour taste. Overall, I won't be returning.
