In my opinion, Sherpa House in Golden is the quintessential Nepalese experience, from the authentic decor to the food. It's no surprise it's a very popular restaurant. I highly recommend making reservations to avoid a long wait or missing out. Five stars all the way!!! Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options at Sherpa House.

I wish they would add heaters for outdoor seating. I was freezing, luckily food came fast

If you need a little spot that takes you on a little journey, this is it. This was the first place I tried in Golden and is always on my top five list. The food is incredible, flavorful, and true to the culture. The lunch buffet is a great way to sample. Otherwise the Chicken Tikka Masala and garlic naan are perfect dishes to start with if this is out of your comfort zone. More adventurous might like the yak vindaloo. We’ve also gotten the sample platter for 2 which is really perfect for your first visit! The cultural center is weaved throughout, be sure to admire the gift shop in the back on your way out.
