We had a great time sitting at an outdoor table on a sunny day with a nice breeze. My husband ordered the Avocado Toast with bacon and poached eggs, which he loved. I decided on a beef burger with a single patty, tomato sauce, mustard, pickles, and cheese, and it was delicious. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
We used to go to the Golden Grove Cafe and it was really good. But like alot of places the busier they got the less the quality of service and often the meals. You 'd order a schnitzel and it would come out dry and slightly...burnt. First time I just ate it cause I had already waited quite a while. But the next time I sent it back which meant i then had to wait another 20 mins or so and my friend had to eat her meal so it wouldn 't go cold. It wasn 't an ideal situation. When the new cafe opened at TTP we gave it a go. Funnily the same thing happened. It was great at first but slowly it has gone downhill, in my opinion. Seems to depend also on what day you are there, who the staff are and what you order. One Tuesday around 5pm we had an early meal and cocktails and everything was as it should be. The same week on a Thursday, with different staff on, had to wait ages for my burger yet there was hardly anyone in the cafe at the time. When it did arrive it was burnt and also a table near me started walking out and asked for their money back cause they had a toddler with them and the meals were taking ages. The child was restless and they were sick of waiting which is fair enough. It did seem to take a long time for them to cook the food. Spoke to the Manager on the day Mike who told me they only had a junior chef on and they are supposed to have a senior chef overseeing things in the kitchen. i He was aware of what was going on and returned the group 's money for the pre-paid meals and he even gave me my money back and apologised. While that is fine, it really isn 't. It 's such a shame because they are in a great location and they used to be a great place to dine. The food is not up to scratch anymore so unless they lift their game I will only be ordering coffee and cake from now on.
This review is of the Tea Tree Plaza cafe. Nice casual meal . Had a nice trio of sliders. Not expensive and dining area is quite pleasant with open area.
My family and I frequently visit this restaurant for breakfast and shakes. The food and drinks are fantastic, and the service is always excellent. However, I was a bit disappointed to find out that my favorite dish, the recovery breakfast with half a banana, is no longer on the menu. It was a great value and a delicious breakfast option. My children enjoy the French toast with maple syrup and ice cream. Personally, I preferred the look of the old menus as well.
