Kings Head Pub - Goole

My partner and I recently stayed at Fir Tree Barns and decided to stop by The King's Head for a meal while we watched the FA Cup final on Saturday night. We were pleasantly surprised by the warm and friendly atmosphere. The locals welcomed us and invited us to join their group to enjoy the game together, making us feel like we had been part of the community for years. The food was more à la carte than what you would typically find on a pub menu, but the prices were very reasonable for a pub. Overall, we had a fantastic night, thanks to the entire staff—the chef, bar staff, waitresses—and especially the locals. This is the best pub I’ve been to in years!

We visited the village and enjoyed two meals at this restaurant. The staff were friendly, and I give a big thumbs up to the chef for serving the most delicious food. On our first night, the chef came out to check on our meal, and on the second evening, he asked if I was a vegetarian and offered to prepare anything I wanted. Fantastic experience!

Great food and friendly staff. The other customers are also very nice. Excellent value for money, and the beer and cider are served perfectly. Whether you're there for a meal or just a few pints, I would definitely recommend it and would likely return myself!

Excellent value for money. Efficient service, the menu has a wide selection of choices, all very reasonably priced . I have eaten here on numerous occasions when visiting Pollington, and intend to do so in the future. It certainly is one of the best pubs in the area, for value for money and excellent food.
