Cabbage was full of flavor and the mac&cheese was scrumptious. I usually don't order desert but the banana pudding was decadent. There was a small wait for the food but it was worth it.
Food and Atmosphere were great. I got the special of the day which was fried chicken and the 2 sides were Cabbage and mac and cheese! Glad I brought some home so I could have seconds. Will be back.
We really tried to support this business. I refuse to call this place a restaurant! We didn 't smell ANY food cooking, spices or anything when we walked in. It was early afternoon and no one was there when we arrived. We ordered Beef and Chicken Patties along with Coco Bread and Mac-n-Cheese. We had to wait almost 30 minutes for Patties! We mad the mistake of not checking the food before we left. We couldn 't believe what we saw when we opened the bag. All of the Patties looked burned. I couldn 't tell if they were burned in the oven or the microwave. They were definitely frozen and they were impossible to chew! Look at the photos and see for yourself. One of the photos is all the pastry that wasn 't edible. The Mac-n-Cheese (which allegedly was cooked from scratch was bland and dry. This place should not tout Jamaican Cuisine when they can 't even prepare Patties! They should close the kitchen and focus on the lounge/bar. This was the worst dining experience that I have ever had! Save your money and DO NOT GIVE IT TO THESE PEOPLE!!!!
Place open at 12pm We went in around 2pm No ox tails where made, told us the ox tails would be ready around 5pm. The place close at 8pm.
Deja Va is a super delicious place for Caribbean favorites like oxtail, macaroni pie, peas and rice, and jerk chicken. The owners are so sweet and friendly.
