Yercaud : This hill station being one of the smallest that I 've so far visited, it turned out to be fascinating as I chose this place as a gift to my hubb in his this year 's bday! With its 20 alone hairpin bends, I couldn 't wait to get there to get the feel of it. With countable places to visit around the town, we went seeing all the view points. We started with day one on the sunset point, on a jeep 's drive with our host to a private property! We got to see atleast 30 bisons and a spectacular sunset. The day 2 was dedicated to the regular touristic spots with a lot of emphasis on View points! I liked Karadiyur and Salecian college 's view points the best! Otherwise, we went boating which was worth a while. We went to almost all the temple at Yercaud! God knows why?! Yercaud being a small hill station, our entire touristic trip ended in almost 6 hours exhausting a part of us as we walked almost all day long! So we wound up the day before the sun went behind the hills : and spent time back in our cottage with no Tv remote to fight to! 2. Stay at The Waterfall Cafe: One major place of attraction at Yercaud is the Kiliyur Waterfalls! In it 's literal sense, it was KILL YOUR JOURNEY down there to see the falls. You had to climb up and down almost 100 steps each way and break your back to evidence the same water fall through bigger rocks which you could 've otherwise witnessed sitting outside your room at The Waterfall Cafe with so much of ease! Yes, we stayed at The WaterFall Cafe (TWFC ! Right from the moment I had my heart and mind on Yercaud, the only place that I wanted to stay was at TWFC! From the day we checked in and till the day we checked out, all we knew was one person and that is Vijay and that is all mattered to us. He runs a single man show and pulls it off with so much ease! We were welcomed to a cozy double bedroom with an attached bath and a cutesie wardrobe all for us! He literally helped us with everything as he knows we are totally dependant on him. Right from getting us a good driver to getting food on time to getting medicines the moment he knew I wasn 't feeling well, he never made faces or acted fake! He promised me the jeep drive and did take us so that we could see bisons. Except that I fell sick and ruined the last day of visiting Vijay 's part of Kiliyur falls (which I 'm sure is a dig in! , we had the luxury of home made food, flasks of hot water (Thanks to Ranjan, the assistant! and a cozy tiny room which opens to the sounds of waterfall all day in and out! Cons, I must say is the noise of the moving furnitures on the cafe just above the rooms we were offered to stay and the noise of vehicles which pull along to let people visit the falls! This can be really disturbing if you 're not a morning person. Vijay, I must say nails it well. He is a people person. Over time, he will make a name in Yercaud of his own! 3. Shopping close to your heart: For me, anything anywhere is about bringing a part of it home! Someone had spoken to me about Patsy of Windermere and the spreads, jams and pickles she makes! I decided to give them a try and picked up a few on our day one. The couple were kind and I can 't wait to try their jam! Our driver dropped us off Bhavani Singh 's perfumery and we purchased some stuff that we felt could be of use. The lady did explain everything that the perfumery sold and they were genuine unlike other places which sells off things to make profit. Last but not the least, TWFC itself sells a lot of fragrant flowers that one can use to enhance the feel of their household. Give them a try! To sum it all up, like someone told me, Yercaud grows on you! It 's not like any other hill station that you go to and forget about it the next day. You 've to give it time and probably relish the every bit of your stay. I envied the way lives are up there! So calm, relaxing and happy everyone of them looked. Life has so much content in each of them :
Enjoyed my stay with my family away from hustle and bustle from the city. Home made food and awesome hospitality by Vijay made our stay very relaxing. Resort is located in the lap of nature and the sound of waterfall at night time gives a very soothing experience. There is bit mobile network connectivity issue but then who wants it on vacation.

Perfect resort and value for money. Huge rooms with 2 bathrooms. Food is very homely. TV not installed so that people enjoy nature at its best. Located right on the waterfall and friendly staff. A special thanks to the man who runs the place Mr Vijay who took good care. And yes our pets ( pugs) also enjoyed :)
