The Bistro - Gorey

Tasty fresh well cooked food and very friendly and attentive staff. Lovely house white wines, Romanian and Italian. Decor is basic and a bit dark. However the food particularly special, especially given the price. Overall it’s a nice restaurant for a night out, but pricey.

This is just a wonderful restaurant. Very welcoming, efficient and knowledgeable staff coupled with a great atmosphere. The food is simply delicious using fresh produce cooked to perfection. The friendly service is a joy. Tina James have absolutely created a 5 star experience and we can’t wait to visit again.

Each year our visit to the Bistro is the highlight of our summer and last night was no exception. The food is quite simply divine. Everything is so fresh and locally sourced. The sauces are light and tasty no added flour! Service and atmosphere also excellent. Can’t wait to return. Peter Deirdre Smith Dublin

We were looking forward to making a reservation for Saturday evening at the The Bistro. We have dined there many times previously, however this time when we phoned a week in advance to reserve a table we were advised that they do not take reservation until the following Thursday. When phoned on Thursday I was advised that there was no availability left and it was completely booked out. I was extremely disappointed, because not only no alternative time was offered but now I have missed out on making reservation else where being a loyal customer due to lack of communication. Very disappointed!

This is Gorey's best restaurant. You pay (it's not cheap) what you get (good food). Wine list is another thing that sets the Bistro apart from other locations restaurants. You will have to book. Personnel is very adequate, friendly and knowledgable. The food is good. I do like to see some changes as there are many plates that has been on the menu for a good few years. Love the daily specials. Would go there every week if I could afford it.
