Fabulous restaurant, great food and homely atmosphere

Food was lovely although very pricey. Prawn starter was very tasty and the venison stew was really wholesome and gorgeous. Cocktails were lovely but it would be nice if the bar area was a bit bigger. Nice to have a cocktail before dinner. Will definitely go back.

Safe parking. Beautiful and convenient location. The waiter accidentally dropped a plate of oily food onto me and the young lady next to me. It stained my new clothing but I wasn't worried about it as it was an accident. The manageress said that she would collect the clothes from our house and take them for dry-cleaning. She never arrived, nor did she ever contact us. The food was good, but not exceptional. Some dishes were excellent and some were average. The atmosphere in the restaurant section was good. All-in-all a beautiful venue and lovely setting to enjoy your afternoon.

I always enjoy The Duck Restaurant for lunch or dinner. The food is fresh and locally sourced and always tasty. They have a great drinks/cocktail menu and the atmosphere, especially for Christmas is cosy and festive.
