The food and service at this restaurant were absolutely outstanding. The wood-fired steak is among the best I've ever tasted. They also offer a fantastic selection of good bourbon at reasonable prices. I highly recommend this place; I feel so lucky to have discovered it. As someone from Kentucky, New York isn't a typical destination for me, but our visit to Legoland brought us here. I've explored various parts of New York over the years and have never encountered a restaurant of this caliber in NYC, with only a few comparable options in the South. Keep up the excellent work!

Once I park, I'm greeted by the delightful aroma of the food being prepared inside. I'm eagerly anticipating the most delicious Old Fashioned made by Bella. The extra care and character she puts into her drinks is what keeps me coming back for more. Give her Old Fashioneds a try, and you'll be hooked!

I have to say, the food at Clip Joint was quite good and exceeded my expectations. The ribeye, filet, and burger dinners that our family ordered were truly delicious. However, I must highlight several disappointing experiences we encountered during our visit. Firstly, the table next to us, a group of six, was seated about 10 minutes after us but received drinks and appetizers before we had any service at all. We had ordered sparkling water and cocktails for our table. When I inquired about the price of a Bourbon Manhattan, the waitress mentioned that drinks were around $15. I had no issue with that. We received our sparkling water but without any glasses, which was frustrating. After waiting about ten minutes, we had to get up and grab our own glasses because we were thirsty and wanted to enjoy our water while it was still cold. When the bill arrived, we were shocked to see that we were charged $35 for the small Manhattan. We questioned our waitress about this, but she appeared annoyed and simply said, "That's just how it is." She recognized our displeasure yet did nothing to address it. On top of that, we noticed that a mandatory 20% tip was automatically added to our bill, which felt unwarranted given the service we received. While we all had a pleasant evening initially, the unexplainable $35 drink put a damper on our experience. We frequent high-end restaurants in the city and have never encountered such an exorbitant charge for a standard drink. The next day, I called to speak with the owner and was informed they do not work on Sundays. I left a message requesting a callback from one of the owners, but unfortunately, no one got back to me. We visited for a 60th birthday celebration, and I must say, the service and food were both outstanding. The only drawback was reaching the top floor, as the stairs are quite steep.
