The food and wine at this restaurant are exceptional. I particularly enjoy the open kitchen concept. I originally came for a few small dishes, but ended up sampling almost everything on the menu. The owner, who clearly has a love for food, puts a lot of passion into each dish. If you find yourself in Göteborg, this restaurant is a must-try.

The food at this restaurant is absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend sitting at the chef's table to watch the open kitchen. The chef prepares dishes that he truly enjoys. The cuisine is simple and delicious, with bold flavors. The cozy atmosphere adds to the overall experience. This restaurant is a must-try when visiting Gothenburg.

Bang, located near Järntorget, offers modern fine dining with unique flavor combinations that impressed us. The suggested menu must be ordered by everyone at the table, but we chose to order individual dishes to enhance our experience. We enjoyed sharing everything, starting with simple yet delicious dishes such as pickles with sour cream and honey, and anchovies with grilled lemon and bread. As the meal progressed, we were delighted with more complex and wonderful dishes that stayed true to a few core flavors, such as celeriac with lovage and toasted hazelnuts, lamb tartare with burnt cabbage and samphire, and duck breast with turnip and buckthorn. Overall, we left feeling satisfied and inspired. The service was excellent, although we were the only diners at the time. The waitress was attentive, knowledgeable, and charming, and shared that while Bang is busy on weekends, weekdays are slow. This is a shame, as Bang is worth visiting regularly. Surprisingly, the pricing is fair for the quality of experience offered. In comparison to other fine dining establishments, Bang offers a great value. We plan to return to Bang again in the future.

Marketing doesn’t give away much, so it is a bit of a bet to bring your family here. We were not at all disappointed. Do not expect table linen or super-attentive service. But you will get highly creative food in several small servings (go for the 650 SEK menu), paired with interesting wine choices. All the nine servings we got were beautiful, tasty, innovative and altogether a close to perfect meal. Well done!
