A Friend of mine had a Interview there and we think he got the job!
I've been enjoying Zapp's chips since my childhood, but lately, the flavor just isn't the same. It lacks the vibrant taste they used to have. I noticed that the bag I got today isn't made in Gramercy, LA anymore, which is concerning. Also, I remember that the chips were always fried exclusively in peanut oil, but the ones I have now are cooked in a mix of vegetable, peanut, corn, cottonseed, sunflower, canola, safflower, and soybean oil. Come on, Zapp's, bring back that authentic Louisiana recipe ASAP!
I'm only going to comment on their chips, not the restaurant itself. I find them overrated; personally, I prefer a classic chip made from potato, oil, and salt. The seasoning is decent, but it doesn’t really stand out.
I just opened a bag of Spicy Cajun Crawtators, and they were a big disappointment. They have no flavor and look like they were made from tiny potatoes. Getting your hands on them is already a challenge, and when you finally do, it's just disappointing. Ever since Utz acquired the brand, the quality of the chips has really declined. I think it's time to look for a different chip brand.
