Amy was fantastic and even decorated the area around us and at the table making everyone feel special. Our waitress was also fantastic! The food and drinks were amazing as well. I highly recommend Snug for an event or even just a dinner out.
We loved our servers as we ate there twice on our week long vacation to Grand Haven. Both ladies were attentive and did what they could to meet our needs. The owner was there one evening and he was less than pleasant as we overheard many conversations between him and his staff. He clearly keeps them understaffed to save money. The staff is doing what they can to save the integrity of Jelly’s/Snug Harbor as it is a local favorite. Support this local favorite by remaining understanding, tipping generously, and calling out their jerk of an owner.
Tammi was the best! We had a large group and she took the best care of us. 10/10
Disappointing evening. We paid almost $16 for a reservation (that can't be applied to the check) and waited over 40 minutes for food. Plastic chairs and tables were ultra trashy, and the cutlery was all filthy (like appallingly filthy). I know a lot of the appeal of this place is it's proximity to the water, but the atmosphere was bland and only saved by the live musician. People packed in like sardines with sad and tired umbrellas and string lights. Our food was OK, not a lot of fresh ingredients though. Summer pasta was seasoned only with oil so ultra bland. Fish chips was pretty good for an American effort. Server was very weird as she wouldn't stop repeating every word she said. A $156 tab (plus $16 reservation fee) should get you a decent meal in a nice atmosphere with a sane server. This place did not deliver that.
The prices here are just exorbitant. We ordered 2 cocktails, 2 glasses of wine, one salmon pâté, and two lobster rolls, and the bill came to $166 with the tip. The lobster rolls were $23 each and the salmon pâté was $16... and can you believe they charged $20 for a small Dark n’ Stormy? What a rip-off!
