My friend and I stayed here before heading to Niagara Falls. Unfortunately, the diner was closed, but the owner and waitress warmly welcomed us inside. This is true hospitality. Andrea serves the best breakfast, especially her pancakes. The portions were generous and delicious. It was an unexpected and amazing dining experience. They even offered us to-go coffees for our journey home. I highly recommend this place.
I haven't had a more pleasant dining experience in a long time than at the Brown Bear Diner. I would be crazy to spend my money on breakfast anywhere else on Niagara Falls Blvd or in the surrounding area, even if getting to this diner in LaSalle wasn't so easy. The food was fantastic - I ordered French toast and for just a little over $5, I wasn't expecting much. However, it came with fruit, berries, whipped cream, and there was a generous portion. I would gladly pay almost double at other places for food that doesn't come close to the quality here. The presentation on the plate was also impressive, showing that they put thought into it. Despite living nearby for a long time, I regret not trying it sooner. I will definitely be recommending this place to friends and family because I want them to have the same great experience I did. The waitress, Savannah I believe, was very helpful and provided excellent service without being overbearing. I can't wait to go back. This was such a good experience that I had to write a review, and I hope to find more places as wonderful as this one.
My man and I stopped a few weeks ago because we had driven several times by an outdoor bear statue and bear decoration. we were intrigued. the inner comforts fit outward; charming hand-carved wooden bears hang on the walls, camping theme decoration, etc. it feels like a camping trip. the menu also makes fun. the items have fun names that are made from a camping theme and the niagara if area. good portion sizes and high quality ingredients. the staff was very friendly and personal; especially our waitress savannah. will definitely return.
So me and my boyfriend didn't realize that they were only open on weekends when we pulled in on a Tuesday Mid-morning, but the waitress was outside doing some work on the restaurant and welcomed us inside for a meal WITHOUT hesitation. The atmosphere is relaxing and we learned most of it is homemade by one of the staff members. She (the waitress) and her husband were beyond hospitable and we really enjoyed the kindness and attentiveness that we were given. The food from Andrea was fantastic and we ate every bite! At the end of our meal the Chambers didn't even rush us out because they were closed, but instead continued to talk to us, refresh our coffees and exchange stories for a little bit. The couple even offered us to-go coffee for our long haul back to New Jersey. Thank you to The Chambers for such a welcoming experience(sorry if I spelled it wrong). Only thing I would suggest is to change the hours on the website for tourists like us who rely on google to find places to eat
