My wife and I worked something while we were there and the Wi-Fi in the cabin was very fast, so this was a plus. Owners and employees are also great hosts. We had a fun time talking to the bartender and owner. Great people. Great food too! Duck wings are a must. Better than expected. We're going back!
My husband and I were super nervous to go to a restaurant because we haven't gone into a (together, Poplar House) since March. We immediately felt safe and comfortable in the Poplar House! The staff wore masks all the time, and it was great to see that the guests are also so diligent with them! Food was great, and you can not beat the view while the lace fall colors!
I didn't expect that. The food is incredible and more of what you expect from the twin cities foodie scene and not on the Gunflint. The Burger was amazing and in our Top 3 ever! It even beat the Parlour Burger with the sauce and two crushed patties. We also ended up with the Butterscotch Dessert and it was so intense that we wish we had all our own. The atmosphere, food and service are worth the journey! We were also in their Forager cabin and it was clean, quiet and quiet. The attention to detail was so sweet and the hosts were friendly and welcoming.
Great atmosphere, great company, good food. Owners are amazing! Delicious special cocktails, delicious appetizers and the main course were phenomenal. I didn't eat it long or drink it!
This place is wonderful. Right on the lake. We sat on the deck and got some sunshine. Had drinks and soup which was really good.
