Blue Sunshine Patio Bar Grill (formerly The Oasis Restaurant On Joe Pool Lake)

Our server, Janet, was courteous, patient, and very knowledgeable about the menu. My wife started with fried pickles, while I opted for a Caesar side salad – it seemed like they opened an 8 oz. jar just for us! My wife thoroughly enjoyed her fried catfish, describing it as excellent. I had the blackened catfish, which was decent but a bit lighter in seasoning than I had anticipated. Overall, the portion sizes made the meal a good value. I'm happy to recommend The Oasis, which we chose based on my wife's cousin sharing her visits on Facebook.

The food and service were excellent! The atmosphere was lovely, with fantastic views. I wouldn't hesitate to drive an hour just to savor the catfish, as it's among the best in the DFW area!

The service and staff were exceptional. The food was served hot, fresh, and beautifully presented. Both the restaurant and the restroom were spotless. I highly recommend this place. They also adhered to excellent COVID-19 safety measures. Our server was courteous and friendly, and she did a fantastic job with follow-ups.

As a first-time visitor, I found the food to be good and served hot. We enjoyed sitting on the patio, which was lovely. However, our server wasn't as attentive as she should have been, especially considering the restaurant wasn't busy. While I understand that gratuity was automatically added to the bill, the level of service we received didn't justify the amount she earned from us. Overall, it was a decent restaurant experience.

During this time of year, you can easily find a seat. The food is excellent, and the gator bites are amazing!
