First Wok Chinese - Grand Rapids

I ordered from this place today and the food was not that great for me at all. The shrimp in the shrimp fried rice was fresh and deveined but the rice lacked taste. I tried their General chicken and the chicken pieces were very large and dry. Ended up throwing almost $40 in the trash. They have a bar in there that looked nice. The young lady at the counter was very nice and welcoming. So sad that the food was not good. Parking: The lot was empty!!!!

It's a typical Chinese restaurant. To be fair, it's over if the nicer ones. I like this place for family dinners. Dinner for 5 packages (more or less as you choose) are nice and they set out a nice spread. For big groups all for a round table. There is a carousel at the center of the table for all the food and you can spin it to bring the different dishes to you. It's very convenient. The servers are great but it always feels like they are understaffed and the servers are literally running around.

Beef Broccoli in a watery sauce, bland taste and “old” yellowing smushy broccoli. Overcooked. It was done in 10 min, so clearly pre-cooked. Hot and sour soup was ok. Disappointing at $25 takeout

The ambience is spot on. Service was next level, our server knew what we needed before we did and her recommendations were delicious. We didn't order a bad dish, it was all amazing. We had the appetizer platter for two, almond chicken, fried rice lemon chicken. 10/10 recommend

Yummy food. Great staff. “Bob” is a fantastic waiter!!!!
