Founders Brewing Co - Grand Rapids

Great place. We decided not to wait the 45 minutes and go inside and order our food and sat outside under heated area and took it up when the summer went. Good. Our appetizers were perfect. This is a very open area outside and many indoor seating, but you need to reserve. Advice here is easy to go and wait for an outdoor table that is just as good. We will return.

Founder Brewing Co is a very cool room with an entertaining atmosphere, great food and fantastic boobs! When we arrived, we were welcomed immediately, but due to the amount of tables that were already filled inside, we were offered only a seat outdoors. We had hoped how it was cool to be inside, but were pleasantly surprised by the warmth of the head infrared heaters. It made it comfortable and we were able to enjoy the outside that was actually great. The beverage selection was perfect and the dishes were better than expected. The quality of the food we ordered was quite amazing for a brewery and exceeded expectations. There are outdoor fire pits, multi-level seating and a pretty impressive layout. The only thing this held by 5 stars was the service that was pretty slow, but they were busy. I know there are challenges everywhere these days, and it was really not worse than elsewhere in these days. We didn't know until after sitting there was a parking lot where they confirm when you show your reception. Parking on the street was very limited in the area are the day we went, so it is good to know.

While I usually love to come here, and that for years, I felt it was time to review how bad the service is to write. It is as if the staff are just a kind of collection of slow hipster robots that do their job at a mechanically slow pace. No one ever seems to smile, welcome you with a warm kind greeting, thank you for coming, or in any kind of conversation to ask you where you are, what you have brought in, you are enjoying your experience, nothing. If you think about the Grand Rapids beer scene, founder is an established name. The beers of quality are not found much elsewhere in the country. The decor is great, the exterior seats are pretty. The food is always fresh and good. It would just be nice if they could somehow motivate their employees to be more friendly. I am under the impression that all service employees share a collective tip pool. Maybe I'm wrong, but could that have something to do with it?

Super beautiful waiter! I think his name was Dan. The food was absolutely amazing! The beer was sooo very delicious!!! I have the lush beer I can't remember it's full of name, but I loved it! My dad liked him so much that he bought a sixpack of it! My mother and I share the devil dancer sandwich(spicy) super delicious and my father got a huge BLT and that was also great! We, where I sat outside, was a little chilled, but it was still very nice! Thanks for this super nice evening everything was so good and so a nice atmosphere.

I don’t typically drink beer, but when I do, I want it to be good, and this was! Our server, Blake, was fantastic too! He asked what I liked, and then made recommendations. Not just for the beer; for the food too. The food and drink selection is great and there’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I highly recommend this place. Plus, it’s a pretty historic place!
