Yesterday, 30. September, Barb and I got married. We had our reception dinner here at Tillman's. We had about 50 people and the atmosphere and the ambience were on site. The waiters provided excellent service and everyone had a great time. It was so nice for our guest to sit back and relax and enjoy the great food and society of families and friends. Tommy Tillman, Barb and I thank you for a wonderful experience as we begin our lives together. Everything was top notch!!
As always, I received 5 star service, a great steak dinner and excellent cocktails. The atmosphere is always very relaxing. We usually sit at the bar because of the usual big company that hangs there and the fun bartenders. The Escargot is a second to no and a perfect starter, the classic wedge salad is a big 2. Course, the petite fillet and lake perch combo is my favorite entree with one side crispy cut potatoes. Finally, I skip desert, but others enjoy drinking a classic brandy Alexander to finish a perfect night.
It is a great place hidden in Grand Rapids with all the breweries rising!! Have a cocktail order surfing and lawn and feel like you are in Chicago or New York!!
Last night was our annual Tillman 's Dinner with friends from years years. A lot were sick didn 't make it this year but we still had a great time with about 20 in attendance. They do serve the best escargot ever I always get the petite filet smothered. I 've only been going there for about 51 years. When it was Belmonte 's back in the 60 's, my friend 's dad owned it. We were too young to drink couldn 't afford the food but we did get their garlic toast with liver paste pretended to be high falutin. In the early 90 's our bowling team, The Striking Blondes were on a league with the owner so our banquets were there. It hasn 't changed much over the years we like it that way. Always great food. You can thank me anytime Tommy for this endorsement!
