We also ordered the mushroom caps, but we were disappointed to find out that they simply opened a can of whole mushrooms and fried them in butter. After this, I didn't feel like spending $42 on a ribeye as I was unsure of what we would actually receive. Additionally, I ordered a martini but they didn't know how to make one. I tried to explain it to them, but they didn't even have any olives in the entire hotel.
This restaurant serves the best prime rib I've ever had. I discovered it after a day of hiking when some girls at the Visitor Center recommended it. I highly suggest trying their prime rib, as we didn't sample anything else on the menu. The only downside is the limited selection of cooked vegetables. I plan to return before leaving the area.
I stopped by this restaurant after a day of traveling, exploring, and enjoying the scenery. My prime rib meal, which included homemade BBQ beans, mashed potatoes, and Caesar salad, was absolutely delicious. Every part of the meal was superb. A special thanks to the Filipino servers who did an excellent job! Well done.
Came here on our way through, heard of the prime rib online but current reviews were lacking. At 6 pm on a Saturday night with covid in the news and hearts of many we persevered our way to this small quiet restaurant. We were one of four tables by the time we left. Our waitress was running the restaurant and the hotel but doing a stellar job. Food was out incredibly fast. I got the prime rib with Cesar salad and mashed potatoes. I was advised to try the au jus sauce which was mediocre topped with bread bowls. The prime rib was amazingly tender and just melted but seemed to miss some spice to go from good to amazing. Mashed potatoes were pretty good (whipped and smooth) and the Caesar salad was average. More than enough food overall. Wife got penne carbonara which left much to be desired. Wholesome pasta meal but it felt like it was missing something and was slightly disappointing.
We dined here one evening, as one of our friends was staying at the Grande Cache Hotel. It was a rather quiet evening, and the receptionist of the hotel doubled as a waitress in the restaurant. Very friendly lady. Two of us had pasta and one of us had the prime rib. Portions were big I couldn't finish the prime rib. Overall, a very good dining experience.
