The Lion's Den Pub

On Friday, January 26, at 10:00 pm, we received from the girl at the entrance the worst treatment and customer service that I have experienced in Canada. A girl with glasses and black hair, who is in charge of registering people who arrive, was too rude. Here's the story: We had an outing with friends and after being in a restaurant eating and having a few drinks, we wanted to dance and continue the night. We decided to go to the Den despite the bad comments that come from there. When we arrived we registered but one of my friends didn't have ID, she had left it at home. She is 40 years old, it is not common for her to ask for ID. We told the girl that if she could make an exception, we were really looking to have fun, we were 10 women and 2 men (between 30 and 50 years old). The girl at the entrance said it was impossible because if we brought a weapon or drugs, they needed to have a record of us. I understand that they should do it but there are cases of cases... the girl responded badly to anything we asked, she was even rude when she told us about the ID. We stood at the entrance debating what to do... it was cold outside and there was no one waiting to enter. The girl YELLED AT US TO GET OUT OF THERE WE WERE IN THE WAY… She said “GET AWAY NOW”. Hey what is this? We got too upset. We are not girls. We were well-dressed, well-groomed women with organized lives. We don't deserve that treatment, plus the entrance and the place were empty. Too disappointed in their customer service staff. They need good training in kindness and respect for people older than them and potential customers.

There was someone throwing up In the bathroom and it was me and my buddies problem. And we got thrown out for no reason except for being present for the ordeal! Stupid management!!

Unfortunately got a very rude bartender (the only older man behind the counter tonight) who literally complained to the customers beside us that we didn’t tip after making us a lemon drop that we previously had made by a different bartender who had no problems and was happy to serve us. me and two of my other girlfriends had been buying drinks all evening so we skipped on a couple tips but why are you charging separately when we order 3 shots and 3 drinks together anyways .. and then treating us badly as if that wouldn’t affect my night ?

Great dessert , too much for one so it's a good item to share. Service was very good. Nice atmosphere, sound filled but not loud.

When we finally got ready to pay, we had to wait while they continued chatting. I had to ask for a box for the pizza, and when she handed it to me, she did so rudely and with an annoyed expression. After that, I went back to my table to box up the pizza for my partner. As we were leaving, I overheard her loudly comment to her coworker about how rude it was that we didn’t leave a tip, despite the fact that she had been gossiping with her the entire time. There were only three other customers and two waitresses during our visit, so it wasn’t busy at all. I ordered coffee, and she didn’t seem to care about refilling it. I had to make an effort to get her attention, but she would just walk by. Eventually, I did get a refill, but we were the only table in that section. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
