Monte Mar Troia - Grândola

Been here for dinner. this restaurant serve mainly fish and sea food. contrary to the other restaurants in Troia this one has a more elegant design, however one doesn't see that when its time to pay. very interesting seafood dishes. We advise the fresh fish of the day. wine menu is ok. good value for your money.

My husband and I absolutely loved our experience in Monte Mar. The food was amazing. Hubby had salmon for main course. The fish was cooked to perfection! I had grilled prawns, which were heavenly. We also had clams and scallops as starters. They were very good indeed. All consumed in tastefully arranged outdoor space with impeccable service. Very recommended!

Most dreadful experience in this restaurant. Service is very poor, the staff is running around, does not take the time for you and then also gets the order wrong...twice. It was a Saturday night, but a lot from the menu was not available. The food that was available, was so disappointing that we had to send it back (I guess there is a first for everything). Just skip it and choose one of the other lovely restaurants in Troia.

We came in some trepidation because reviews were not great. On a cold and windy evening we sat in the outside area so everything was against us. But, there were no pressurised covers and really quite good food at sensible prices , not fantastic but really ok. Waiters however were uninterested and that was a pity. Price for 2 two courses and a bottle of Mateus Rose and water inc tip 75 euros. Shall we come again? Unsure.
