Tony Sacco's Coal Oven Pizza - Granger

Good riddance! A place that closes its doors on its employees deserves to go out of business.

On September 1, 2022, a sign on the door indicated that the restaurant has permanently closed due to staffing issues.

This was our second visit, and it will definitely be our last. Both the food and service were only average at best. We dined in for dinner, and the cost per person was between $50 and $100.

The waitress was very friendly, but that was the only positive aspect of our visit. The pizza was unappetizing, burnt, and overly greasy, so we didn't even eat it. The manager did refund us for the pizza and offered a coupon for our next visit, but we won't be returning.

After our third visit under the new ownership, we’ve decided not to come back. We were seated quickly, and the service was prompt. However, the garlic cheese bread was overwhelmingly strong due to the garlic paste, and our server mentioned that it varies depending on who in the kitchen prepares it. We waited nearly an hour for our large pizza, all while watching multiple tables around us receive their pizzas, even those who ordered after us. We were informed that a large party was ahead of us in the queue. After seeing a table of two next to us get served two pizzas immediately, we requested to speak with the manager. She explained that her POS system was malfunctioning and had not registered our pizza order until much later. She offered to comp our pizza at half price. We assured her that we didn't need that; we just wanted to express our disappointment with the experience. She insisted it was her responsibility to listen to our feedback. When our pizza finally arrived, it was tasty. Although the meal was compensated, we will not be returning as long as the current owners are running the restaurant.
