The lemon-ricotta ravioli was delicious. The olives and cherry tomatoes accompanied itvery well. And, say yes to the bread basket and herb butter.
We were very disappointed with our food. The fadora salad had almost no cheese or cranberries. The dressing was not what it used to be. The chicken pops were dry. The Brussel sprouts under cooked. Would not recommend. Service and drinks were good.
The atmosphere is what we go there for, the patio is shaded by giant trees, a quiet town setting. Our server was outstanding. We enjoyed our wine, the entrees were a mixed bag, my husband loved his salmon. I tried the lemon ricotta ravoli. It sounded like alight dish but it was very spicy. The server took it off our bill. I still enjoyed the visit.
Came in here out of town for a concert on our anniversary and found The Grand Concourse. It is the most expensive restaurant at Station Square. We got there about 5:00 on a Wednesday and not much was going on no problem getting seated. Restaurant kidsstart getting busy around 6:00 6:30. The service was great as was the food. Our table was inside but right at the windows at thetrain tracks and you can see the river. The salads, meals and dessert were excellent. We ended up staying 3 days in Pittsburghand would have loved to come back and eat here, except for the prices. The building itself is magnificent. It was a formertrain station. It was very extravagant.
So over 30 years ago when I got married I wanted to have my rehearsal dinner at Granville Inn. I couldn’t afford it so we had it at a restaurant up the road. I had never eaten there and went for the first time this week while visiting Newark. I must saythat the inside and decor is very cool. It reminds me of a restaurant I went to in Ireland last year. Nice big fireplaces andbeautiful ornate woodwork. It was a very fancy restaurant. The service there was great. Our waitress took great care of us. Iwould say the food was very good, I wouldn’t say that it was great. The appetizers were the best part. Their rock shrimp wasthe highlight. But I also liked the Korean cauliflower. They do have a great selection of bread they bring to your table withsalted butter. I would go there and get the bread and a bowl of soup and be satisfied. My entrée was a truffled ravioli. It wasover salted and did not have anything or any flavor let’s set it apart. Most of our party had the scallops and I would saythat they were huge portion size and they all said that they were very tasty. It is a very expensive place to eat and wouldprohibit me from going back on a regular basis. But I would go back for a special occasion.
