Feedback gevenMy favorite Sam’s Club. I drive a little further to come here than to the Keller location that is closer to me. Not a fan of that location, so much. Friendly associates and the scan and go helps making shopping so much easier. Excited for Grapevine to reopen!
Unfortunately, we have been having the same concerns every time we visit our neighborhood Sams in Grapevine. I know it may not seem like a big deal but we have small kids and they always want to visit the cafe for cheese pizza, Icee’s and churro’s but as usual they don’t have any. The worst is that I’ve addressed this with the club manager and fresh managers and little has been done. Maybe on the spot actions but by then the member experience has been tainted. Here we are here again at about 540pm on Saturday and the cafe associate, with no name badge, tells my wife that all we they have is two Slices of cheese. I asked if they are making more or could make more the response I received was “No” we have way to many orders ahead of yours. Unbelievable! My wife then asked for churros and the no name associate said no don’t have churros. I asked the associate can some be made and she said NO. So I responded with “can’t” and she said nope can’t. I asked why and she stated that there was not enough room in the ovens for anything else bcuz there were way to many pizza orders to be filled. I couldn’t believe it. I even took pictures bcuz they only had 2 pizzas one on each belt. I just don’t understand this Sams club that is quick to take my $100 for a membership but so quick to treat us like we are invading their place and time. I canceled my Costco membership bcuz of lack of items we shop for but at least their cafe ALWAYS has what you want. ALWAYS! This is sad from a share holder perspective bcuz I still own shares. So I own shares, pay my membership and our experience at this cafe is subpar at best. It’s the same two ladies with the worst attitudes for customer service. They act as if I’m asking for too much. What’s worse is you can never find coach or manager available on the floor it’s always a COS if they’re still called that when I did work for this company many years ago managers and TL’s were expected to be on the floor and available for members. And here I sit watching other members try to order just to be turned away or walk away bcuz they’re basically refusing to prepare any more items. I’m sure it makes sense to them but not to paying members. So believe it or not I made one last attempt just now and asked the no name associate since all the pizzas orders have been fulfilled if I could get some churros. She looked at me for a second and said sure. I guess there is light at the end of the dark tunnel. If I owned a multi billion dollar company and was stealing peoples money I would make sure I was offering what I advertise. Isn’t that simple business? Sam Walton must be tossing in his grave with these new presidents and board members. Unfortunately loyal members remember, this is not regarding a one time visit. This is many visits and many conversations over the year with sams club management. You need to bring back fresh and alive at five. So I have the same experience as your first member who walked in the club. Instead I get treated like a Walmart customer. That’s saying a lot. Unbelievable staff! Especially the tire battery department. The whole department is helpful, courteous and friendly. I have to say one employee, Donavon went out of his way today making sure we knew how customers are supposed to be treated and we are not just a number but are human beings. We came last night for a battery and liked them all so much we canceled appointment with another tire shop. Sam’s Grapevine are currently replacing my tires on right now. People constantly complain that Walmart and Sam’s are huge Corporation’s that doesn’t care about customers but they are wrong when it comes to these employees that are working hard every day at the grapevine location. After the pandemic still nobody wants to work, yet these employees come in to work with constant pressure because of short staffed departments and get the job professionally done. We the customers are not allowed to tip. The store manager told me the best thing I can do is write this review. I hope it helps them get more business because they deserve it!
