Hooked On Kouklas - Gravelly Beach

I ordered chilli squid one would imagine grilled squid in a chilli type sauce. What i received was far from that. Fried calamari circles with tomato sauce,there was nothing chilli about it. served with soggy chips the only thing that was edible was the salad. When you pay 26.50 for a menu item you expect a main course dish. Major letdown. Im not one to complain but im writing this reveiw in hope to save others from copping my fate. Thumbs down.

My Partner and i decided to pop in for a quick bite. He ordered chilli squid which came with small side off chips and salad, total 26.50. He also ordered me a piece of grilled fish which i wanted on its own. When the food came out my fish was served with chips and salad also, which totalled to 24.50. The squid was deep fried and tasted like the oil was old. No sight of chilli to be seen on the plate and on top of that they had sqeezed tomato sauce all over the squid. Chips nice and soggy to top off this wonderfully overpriced, sad experience . We are happy to pay for good food and good service but this place is a complete joke and has left a sour taste in our mouth.

Stopped into what was a fish and chips/Greek eatery. Really friendly staff and excellent food. Will definitely be back.
