Tipped her well. It’s not her fault. The food was awful. Legit the worse Mexican food I’ve had in my life. I don’t know what they are doing but it was bad. My meat wasn’t seasoned. I had peas in my burrito. Which is just weird in its own. I think I are two bites before I just was like nope.
This is a great little hole in the wall. Best priced plates for sure! I had the enchilada plate and it was delicious. They have a bar too! #AlexMedinaRealEstate
I had beef enchiladas w rice and beans, really good. Good sized portion too. Kid got chicken fingers and fries, he approved. Will definitely go back. Service was good too. The sweet tea needs more sugar though.
What a great addition small family owned business to the Grayson area! The location is easy to find and convenient. Inside is clean, floors aren't sticky, bathrooms are well kept. This is our first time, so we haven't tried anything else off the menu. The kiddos liked the Gordita and the Flan with the chocolate drizzle was also a hit with them.PERSONALLY, I prefer traditional flan bc I like the ? custard and caramel together. It's more Mexican that way. Maybe that could be an option or let the customer know that there is chocolate on the flan and customer can decide whether they want chocolate or not.The chelas especial (pineapple) was loaded. Again, a personal preference bc I enjoy the umami and flavor of the meat, I would rather it not be in the cheese broth. If you are a cheese lover then this is a yummy order for you! This is just my unsolicited opinion ? I would load the pina with the chicken, steak, shrimp, either sprinkle a little of the melting cheese OR Cotija cheese on top. Rice and beans were delish.Next the Michelada. Was ginormous and worth the ! Again.. lol personal preference, I don't care for it being large and in charge. I care about taste! It had a hint of roasted/fire/Chipotle flavor, which I don't like. I like the cerveza marrying the tomato juice, the zing of the lime juice, the tajin. ?I hope this is more constructive criticism rather than complaint. We LOVEEE Mexican food, music, dessert, tequila, beer and a good time! And we appreciate the authenticity of eating out at our local spots as if we were eating in an abuelas kitchen. Please don't refine your dishes to Americanize it. I want spice, jalapeños, habeneros. 3 different levels of salsa.. Mexican is spicy, Mexican is hot, mexican is mouthwatering, flavorful. Overall, we love to support and we love Mexican food lol and menu has lots of options, if you dont like what we ordered, try something else!!!As for reviews about the water drip and slow service. A) facilities thing. AC always create condensation. If it is leaky, then someone should check it out. I didn't see any brown staining B) it's family owned, low overhead, wouldn't be sustainable to hire extra hands if the pace isn't crazy busy. Especially on weekday. Weekend may be diff.
My family loved this place but recently that all changed. The place is hot and has water falling from the ceiling. This has been happening for months now. I’m surprised the owners haven’t fixed that. We use to love the food and atmosphere here. The food recipes have changed and it’s almost like a “bar” type place now. You can’t go to just sit down and have a nice dinner with your family anymore . The place is very loud . You have to scream to the person next to you just to communicate. The server couldn’t even hear what we were saying. It’s very annoying. We couldn’t even enjoy our dinner. The salsa did not taste the same , the steak was unseasoned, the chicken tenders that my kids used to love and always order didn’t look anything like chicken tenders. It looks like Mexican “milanesas” cut into thin slices. Horrible. My kids only ate the fries. We had to leave. Ended up getting McDonald’s from across the street. We won’t be going back. It seems like they’re under new management. We loved the authentic Mexican vibes from this place. The servers were very knowledgeable on the food and drinks. Nothing is the same anymore. They even changed the staff. I didn’t see any of the old servers. This place use to be “our spot”, really heartbreaking how this is no longer a good place to go with family. If your looking for a club atmosphere, this is your place.
