I 've been to several other locations of the Akakiko chain but no one has disappointed me as much as this one. We were greeted at the door with a rather annoyed welcome and then showed to our table. The table itself was rather small and quite...close to the others but that 's fine. What annyoed me the most was the service. It took the waiter literally 15 minutes to finally realize that we had not ordered drinks and another 10 minutes for the drinks to arrive. And the restaurant wasn 't even full. I 'm happy to wait if I see the waiter running in circles because there are tons of people waiting for their lunch and the entire restaurant is packed. If that 's the case, yes I 'll wait, but if the restaurant is only at about 1/3 capacity I expect a lot more than we got. When the waiter finally got around to take our order he seemed very annoyed that we had the audacity to order something which, again, I get, but you shouldn 't show that to your guests. Another big minus point was that the food didn 't arrive at the same time. We ordered 3 appetizers, 2 of which came quite quickly but the third one came 10 minutes later. The same with the main course. My best friend got her chicken dish 15 minutes before mine and when I finally got around to start hers was already cold. Yes she could have started without me but then she would have been long finished by the time I got my dish. Even when you go to a rather simple and cheap restaurant they always manage to send out the food in table orders. It 's not that hard when you 're not completely packed. again: the restaurant was not even half full. The other waitresses who brought us the food were actually really nice and friendly, sadly the 'head waiter ' who took the orders wasn 't or had a bad day or something. He didn 't even ask if we wanted anything else to drink or a dessert. Which, is okay if he doesn 't want to sell anything. The food is so so. The sushi is good and fresh but I would have expected more authentic dishes. The Szechuan chicken didn 't have any szechuan pepper or other szechuan or even chinese spices in it, for that matter. I won 't come back. I 'll maybe get some sushi for takeout but that 's it.
