Bee Organic definitely deserved 5 stars, but those are reserved for vegan or vegetarian restaurants. Bee Organic is primarily vegan and gluten-free, with some pescatarian dishes available. The restaurant is small, charming, casual, and very clean. Our group consisted of a vegan, a vegetarian, a pescatarian, and a meat-eater having lunch on Saturday. We were all thrilled with our meals, with the vegan (me) even returning the next day to take the same meal on the plane back home because it was so delicious! The portions were generous and satisfying, and the desserts were incredibly fresh. The tempeh in my Buddha bowl was particularly flavorful and not as bitter as usual, with a crispy outer layer. The vegan tahini dressing was especially delicious. My husband enjoyed the Israeli salad with added chickpeas, while our meat-eating friend loved his Tempeh stir-fry. I can't recall what my daughter had, but she was very pleased with her meal. We had a variety of dietary restrictions within our group, including food sensitivities and gluten-free requirements, and everyone left satisfied and happy. We highly recommend this restaurant.
This quaint little cafe offers good food in a cozy atmosphere. Although the service was a bit disorganized, the staff were friendly and kind. It seems like they are still learning and improving. This vegetarian spot in the suburbs definitely deserves some support. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and would recommend it to others. I have returned to this cafe since my first visit and was pleased to see that the previous issues with organization have been addressed. The food is tasty and healthy. The food is delicious. Make sure to ask if a dish is vegan, as many menu options contain milk.
In any case that is worth waiting! I'm here every day!
I moved to Great Neck about a year ago and soon discovered bee-ORGANIC. I don't know what I ordered the first time but I've been back many times since. The space is warm clean and relaxed. I've never not found a seat to get comfortable in but the seating is limited to about 20 and I worry that as its reputation spreads it will become crouded. I've brought several discerning friends to eat there and we all agree that everything is scrumptious. I particularly like the sandwiches I've eaten: vegie-burger and happy cow, and the soups I've tried. The coffee is superior. I don't order a juice often, but when I do it's quite good and I notice popular too.
