Feedback gevenVery rarely do we brave a Chinese that is not our regular one, and being away from home it would never normally factor as an option but we tried this one and it was really good. Fast and efficient service, good food.
I’m so glad the local Chinese was closed otherwise we would have never tried the golden dragon. Even thou it was a 10 min drive back the food was still Hot. All of the dishes we ordered were so fresh and good that we would also say this was the best Chinese takeaway we have had. A bit Pricey but the portions are huge, we would highly recommend the barbecued pork spare ribs in sauce.
Myself and my husband have visited Hemsby many times for great caravan breaks but have never used this Chinese takeaway before. We both decided to have a takeaway meal for a change at The Golden Dragon in Beach Road, Hemsby. The meal we decided on was a special set dinner for two costing us £26.80. The food felt very hot and also very heavy in the bag. On arriving at our caravan I started to dish out the food, finally finding out why the bag was so heavy. The containers contained mostly very large cut vegetables and lots of gravy with hardly any meat and fish. The rice was special fried and that smelt awful with dried up bits of meat and a few small prawns. The food didn’t smell good either, so I binned the lot. Considering we are both pensioners it was a lot of money to just throw away in a bin. We then decided to go and get our faithful fish and chips down the road from them.
Staff were very rude and they had a teenage girl in her school uniform serving food. The food was absolutely amazing, so tasty! Chow mien is a must try it’s so good and the spring rolls are like the old fashioned pancake rolls really tasty
This was possibly the most tasteless meal I have ever tried to eat (Most ended up in the bin). Hot and Sour soup is something I love from an oriental menu, this lot can't cook it that's for sure. Chow main and rice noodles were about a tasteless as it comes. Sorry Golden Dragon, you really need to buck your ideas up.
