Indian lounge - Greater Shepparton

Yum! We had a great experience at this restaurant. They were very accommodating to my dietary needs as a person with Coeliac disease, and even remembered my restriction from a previous visit by bringing out the menu right away.

After dining at many Indian restaurants, we can confidently say that this is the best we have experienced outside of India, where we have traveled extensively. The food was exceptional when the owners were running the restaurant originally, but unfortunately declined in quality when it was leased out. However, now that the owners are back in charge, the food has returned to its fantastic, authentic Indian roots. The menu offers a wide range of options for both meat lovers and vegetarians, all at very reasonable prices. The staff are friendly and happy to help with menu selections, and there is free parking available in front of the restaurant. We highly recommend this establishment and are regular patrons.

Our staff booked a buffet banquet at The Indian Lounge, Shepparton on 23rd May. Normally the restaurant doesn't open on Tuesdays but because of the special occasion and we had 20 people, they agreed to open for us. We were the only customers that night. We are a mixed staff, with vegetarian, gluten free and halal requirements but the buffet menu was extensive and varied, pleasing each one of us. The meals were delicious and there was ample food for everyone. The drink prices were very reasonable, and we were allowed to bring our own wine for a small corkage charge. As the organiser, I was regularly consulted throughout the evening to ensure everything was proceeding well and there were no problems. Very good service. Just to top off our fantastic night, the birthday girl was presented with a card and a bottle of wine from the restaurant staff - a lovely gesture and one we all commented on later. We all agreed this was a restaurant we would like to return to, not only with work colleagues but also our families as well. I highly recommend you try this restaurant.

This place serves delicious Indian food and caters for both eating in and takeaways. The staff is friendly and helpful and there is parking just outside.
