Not to mention the green beans, carrot cake and the German chocolate cake is to die for! Haven't been able to get a pic in because it's always an after thought as I savor that last bite of that super moist mouth watering yummy chocolate cake! The fat girl living inside of me ALWAYS jumps for joy when we pull up to Mrs Ruby's place!! Almost missed it my first time there but you bet I won't be missing this place ever again!
The catfish dinner is tasty and satisfying, and the sweet potato pie is perfect! We will be back.
1st time enjoying Ruby’s cooking. Homemade comfort food. Very friendly folks. Wife and I both had the pulled pork, peach cobbler and German chocolate cake. Looking forward to trying the catfish dinner next time. And there will be a next time.
This past Saturday, I returned, hoping they would have peach cobbler available. To my delight, the man at the counter informed me it would be ready in an hour. I left and came back to order two servings. To share a bit of my story, my mom passed away in 2017, and when I tasted that peach cobbler, it felt like she had come back from heaven, made it herself, and then returned. It was that good! I even called back to check if there was any left, and he mentioned they were closing at 6 PM. I jumped in my car and made it there in just 2.5 minutes! I bought the remaining cobbler they had and placed an order for a whole one to pick up this Wednesday when they reopen. I think I've found my favorite peach cobbler! Thank you, Mrs. Ruby; you really outdid yourself, and I am incredibly grateful for you!
I spoke with a man on the phone who was quite rude and unhelpful.
