Great experience! Exceptional service and good food. 7/2/23, 5/11/24 still holds true!
Food was lacking. Menu reads great yet not executed great. Sope was a disgrace to the the name Sope and should be considered a hate crime. Mexican chocolate pie was, eh. Nice atmosphere overall lively with a big ole wall of Tequila!
Everything was outstanding! The weight staff was very down to earth and friendly! The atmosphere was light and fun! And the food was so fresh and flavorful! I could eat there every week!
I have been here twice and each time it has been a serious regret of mine. I don’t remember much from the first time since it was months ago except that the food and the service sucked beyond belief. I gave it another chance today because nothing else in the area was open yet and my God I really regret that. Thankfully, compared to last time I got my drink really fast whereas last time I was here it took probably 15 minute to even get a drink. The problem this time is that I literally was forgotten about until my drink was gone. I never had a chance to order food until maybe 20-25 minutes of being here. The only reason I got food was because he came and asked me if I wanted another margarita and I reminded him I hadn’t ordered food and would like to, astonishingly so. I literally contemplated closing out after the first margarita because I could just drive over to Mulas and get food there. I stupidly thought that oh, why don’t I try the birria tacos since I’m already here and I’ve been on a birria kick and kind of want to do a tour of whose got the best in town. That—that was a serious mistake. The tacos were pathetic. The presentation was pathetic. The meat was dry. And the consume was like a thin broth, it wasn’t anything like other places I’ve had consumme, and not in a good way. Then, when I ordered my second margarita I simply asked if I could get the pineapple mezcal margarita and sub mezcal for tequila because I didn’t want the smokiness of the mezcal. The server was such a brat about it. I was just asking if I could get that and how and he just stood there arguing about how to order it. I DONT CARE, I DONT WORK HERE I AM SIMPLY TELLING YOU WHAT ID LIKE AND IF THATS POSSIBLE I DONT CARE HOW YOU RING IT IN. He talked to me like I was stupid. Then, sitting here, I wrote all of this while waiting to be closed out. It took almost 10 minutes for him to come around and ring me out after I asked to be closed out. This man probably had 4 tables max, one of them being me. It was not busy by the time I left. The drinks taste bad. The food tastes bad. And the service sucked 2 times out of 2. I highly recommend going ANYWHERE else. It’s a cute place and the host was nice but not worth coming to, I promise you that. I’m always happy at mula and that isn’t far away. Try that instead if you aren’t looking for fully authentic tacos but still tasty
