Blenkinsopp Castle Inn Bistro

This restaurant is absolutely stunning and it seems to change every time we visit due to their wise decorating choices. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the most beautiful lounge/bar where we enjoyed a coffee or drink. The lighting and decor were stylish and cozy. It is clear that a lot of thought has gone into every aspect of the venue. The menu offers a wide variety of drinks, including great beer, local ales, and a huge selection of gins that pair perfectly with the various mixers available. The restaurant was busy, but we were promptly shown to our table where a high chair was already set up. We ordered the pork and beef main course, which was beautifully presented with a selection of vegetables, large Yorkshire puddings, and three types of carrots. I would go as far as to say it was the best meal I have ever had. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, the surroundings were pleasant, and the staff were attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant and cannot wait to go back.

Stephen and I booked a room at the Castle on Laune and we were delighted we did. We had a lovely time. The staff were incredibly accommodating and made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast prepared by Carol. The atmosphere at the Gas House was exactly what we like - surrounded by beautiful scenery. The fire crackled and the drinks flowed as we enjoyed the laid-back vibe. Lizzy was very attentive and Gary was easy to chat with and down-to-earth. The room was very cozy and we slept very well. We will definitely be returning with our dog next time.

The attention to detail in every aspect of the restaurant is evident. There is a wide selection of drinks available, including great beers, local ales, and a variety of gins with different fever tree mixers. Despite the restaurant being busy, we were seated promptly with a highchair already set up for us. We ordered roast dinners (pork and beef) which were presented beautifully with a delicious assortment of vegetables, big Yorkshire puddings, and three types of potatoes. I would go as far as to say it was the best roast dinner I have ever had. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, the surroundings were pleasant, and the staff were attentive. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back.

Stephen and I booked a room at the castle on a whim. I'm so pleased we did. We had a lovely time. The staff bent over backwards they made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed a delicous evening meal and breakfast cooked by Carol. The inn is just our kind of place surrounded by beautiful countryside. The fire was roaring and the drinks were flowing served by the Jamiroquai look alike. Lizzy was very attentive and Gary extremely easy to chat to and down to earth. The room was very cosy and we slept really well. We are certainly going to return with our dog and do some walking.

Today was my first visit to this restaurant with friends from Northumberland and Cumbria. It is the perfect spot to meet for coffee, lunch, or tea after a stroll in the sunshine. The surroundings are lovely, the staff is friendly, and the food is delicious. They offer a good selection of food and real ales. Everything we ordered was tasty and beautifully presented. The chips were especially good.
