The place is clean inside and out. The food is very expensive. The hot dogs weren't expensive but they were stale buns and overcooked franks. The corn dogs weren't expensive but they were overcooked and tasted funny.
The place is nice and quiet, fairly clean, and not overcrowded with people blocking parking. The restroom was clean, and the staff member I encountered there was very polite. I would definitely stop here again, but I must say that the IHOP nearby is terrible—both in terms of food and service. I would suggest looking for other options, perhaps something from the store or PJ Fresh to eat.
I typically don't have complaints about Pilot Flying J, but this particular location was a disappointment. I went to take a shower and found that there was no toilet paper, and a dirty washcloth was hanging in what should have been a clean shower. When I informed the staff about the issue, the girl at the counter responded with a rude attitude. While I waited for them to address the problem, I noticed that the employee who was supposed to be cleaning was in the adjoining shower room using the toilet. I cannot recommend this Pilot location unless you want to risk encountering health issues. The staff here seem lazy and exhibit a poor attitude towards customers.
On July 18th, I received a fraud alert from my bank for a $500 charge, which required me to get a new card. Last night, the same store triggered another fraud alert for $151. I'm getting a new card today as well. Both times, we had to go inside to buy gas. This time, we were informed that the $151 charge is on hold by Visa because the card was used at the pump. I will NEVER return to the Flying J.
