I appreciate the early morning vibe, along with the fresh food and friendly service. Everyone cherishes our time together. I’m already looking forward to our next get-together!
Senior citizens receive a dollar discount, and this Golden Corral is well maintained. Most of the options available for lunch (which is when I typically visit) are top-notch. I absolutely LOVE the fried chicken – it’s always fantastic. The mashed potatoes are incredibly good, tasting as if they’ve been made by your grandmother herself. I rarely indulge in desserts, but the carrot cake is my absolute FAVORITE. This restaurant is a great representation of what a Golden Corral should be.
The Golden Corral Buffet in Greensboro, NC, is truly a shining example of how these restaurants should operate. The chefs consistently deliver outstanding food that is both delicious and well-presented. This location was rebuilt about six years ago and is impeccably maintained, with staff who are always friendly and efficient. Even though we moved away from Greensboro four years ago, we always make it a point to stop by whenever we're back in the area, and we've never been let down. It's clear that all store owners and managers should take note of how this location runs and the quality of its food. While not all Golden Corral locations are up to the same standard, we’ve often been disappointed at others, but not in Greensboro.
Being a buffet, you might find a few dirty tables here and there, but they were all in the process of being cleaned. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The food was good, but I noticed there were fewer choices compared to my previous visits—though it’s been about 10-12 years since then! I distinctly remember rows upon rows of food. Considering the current economic climate and the cost, the food selection was still decent. Located right next to Walmart and Sam's Club, this place gets a fair amount of foot traffic. There's ample parking, but I found the spots to be smaller than average. My truck fit, but it was a bit tight with the cars parked beside it. I would recommend visiting during the weekdays rather than on the weekend.
Our waitress, named "Sunshine," was very friendly. Since it’s a buffet, they have safety measures in place, including providing gloves and a new plate each time you go up for food, which I thought was great. There was someone stationed by the plates to assist as well. While one section of the buffet was empty, the rest had plenty of options, most of which appeared fresh. The pancakes were slightly overcooked but still tasty. The bacon was absolutely perfect! Just as I was about to grab some eggs, new ones were brought out, which I appreciated. The cinnamon rolls were delightful, though I wasn’t a fan of the biscuits. Overall, it was a satisfying breakfast, and I would definitely go back. They do have nutritional information displayed on the glass covering the food, which is nice, even if it’s not particularly helpful without a way to measure or portion the food, haha. But it's nice to have that information available for those who are curious.
