Green Joe's Coffee Co - Greensboro

I had a great time at this restaurant with a friend who had just gone through a tough breakup. They were living in Cape Town together but he had to fly home suddenly. Life is unpredictable but we enjoyed the good vibes and delicious coffee at this place.

The coffee was delicious and the staff was very friendly.

The regular brew coffee was decent I would not say that it was my favorite. However, the scones are delicious.

I have been a customer of Green Joe's on and off for many years. Before the pandemic, I lived abroad and would always make an effort to visit when I was back home. Now that I have returned, I use it as my workspace away from home as a freelancer. The environment is ideal for working; there is plenty of space, various seating options (including a bar, small tables, large tables for groups, a lounge area, and outdoor seating), and it is usually easy to find a spot. The WiFi is reliable, and the music is to my liking and not too loud if you prefer to tune it out. The baristas are always friendly and willing to chat if you are in the mood. Even when they are busy and dealing with impatient customers, they maintain a positive attitude. The coffee is generally excellent, better than Starbucks and likely the best option on Battleground. However, I have noticed some inconsistency in quality at times. Some days the latte is fantastic with robust espresso notes, while other days it can taste weak or overly sweet. There seems to be a high turnover of staff recently, which may be contributing to this inconsistency. Despite this, I would say the coffee is great 80% of the time, so I will continue to visit as long as I am in Greensboro. I mention this because in the past, the quality was on par with or even better than downtown options, and I hope it does not continue to slip. This feedback comes from a place of affection for this place. Update: Green Joe's has regained its star in my book. The coffee has been consistently excellent in recent months, and they are the only place in town that can make a European-style macchiato. Their cortado is also top-notch. I have enjoyed getting to know the staff better; they are a friendly bunch who always make you feel welcome!

Great service and special drinks! the “Dirty” chai latte is the best! also the bakers are great! when it is once, the room is large with high ceilings, so it feels like there is a lot of space.
