I will recommend LaRue on Elm to all of my friends to come and enjoy Greensboro's newest fine dining. #5Stars
I recently held my 40th birthday dinner at LaRue Elm. It's been my favorite restaurant in town since we moved here from Atlanta. Chef planned the menu with me and created more than 8 courses for dinner that highlighted my favorites from their menu. The food not only tasted amazing, it was picture perfect. Service was top notch. My friends were very impressed and I know LaRue Elm now has many more fans. Hands down, this is the best restaurant in town. No one else is cooking food this interesting and executing it this well.
This was fantastic. They have a surprisingly extensive wine-by-the-glass list. The bottle list is a page and a half. The bar has a lovely collection. We didn't take time for a cocktail. But, we will next time. I'm really impressed by the booze. We had the root vegetable salad, 3 appetizers and dessert. There was no one around, I nearly licked the bowl the mussels came in. I did eat the sauce with my spoon. Don't judge. You weren't there. This place isn't cheap and if you want a bloated belly when you're through, take yourself on to Golden Corral. If you want to have multiple orgasms of the tastebuds, use your time and your dollars wisely by spending them here. (Portions aren't stingy, just more French than American Gluttony sized.
Great service. The meal was a mellow taste explosion. The flavors blended wonderfully. I have eaten in great restaurants around the world, and this one is one of the ones at the top of my list
I wish more people knew about this place. My husband and I came for an early dinner this past Friday and it was fantastic! We ordered a few appitizers and 1 entree. Escargot, frog legs, carpaccio, sweetbeards, and foie gras. My husband is more adventurous when it comes to eating than I am, however, I did try things I wouldn't have before. As for me, I ordered the tenderloin. Cooked perect! And the sauce was delicious! Service was also top notch. The place itself is amazing, including the rooftop seating area.
