Oxleas Cafe - Greenwich

Website states the cafe is open until 5 pm, but, at 4 o'clock today, I found it well and truly shut up... It's had good reviews in the past, including in the Green Chain Walk guide, but I'm wondering whether there's been a change of ownership? Obviously, I can't rate it properly at the moment.

Yet another incredible dining experience at this cafe! I absolutely adore this place. The food is amazing - generous portions, always well-prepared and delicious. Kudos to the talented chef(s) behind these fantastic dishes! The cafe's location at the top of Oxleas Meadow offers breathtaking views of the surroundings. On a clear day, the vistas stretch for miles. The staff here are exceptional - polite, professional and always so warm and welcoming. I've gotten to know Bebe, Angel, Kay and Amy, and they are all truly wonderful individuals. Rambo provides excellent service, and the chef, Memo, is top-notch. Thank you all for making my visits so enjoyable! I highly recommend this cafe, especially for their legendary Turkish breakfast, delicious omelettes, salads and kebab meat. Just fantastic! Thank you once again for the fantastic dining experience.

I absolutely adored this café. The menu was fantastic with plenty of vegetarian options. The staff were delightful, and I enjoyed a delicious homemade tomato soup with warm bread and butter. My friend loved their halloumi wrap with avocado and chilli jam. The kitchen was open and immaculate, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Overall, it's a great café with a diverse menu.

The café staff are exceptional - courteous, professional, and always welcoming. I've had the pleasure of getting to know Bebe, Angel, Kay, and Amy, who are all truly wonderful individuals. This café comes highly recommended. The Turkish breakfast is renowned, and I also enjoy their omelettes, salads, and kebab meat. Fantastic experience overall - thank you!

What a welcome sight as we walked the Green Chain Way from Thames Barrier Mottingham and the food and cafe did not disappoint. The number of visitors showed we weren’t the only ones who appreciated this cafe many of the visitors appeared to be locals returning to a favourite haunt.
