The Park Tavern London I always visit when in Eltham. There is usually a good selection of beers available. Reasonably priced. While I prefer pubs not to have music playing , the classical music(Classical FM is preferable to the alternatives. Staff are prompt, efficient and...friendly. A shame that the garden is not a bit larger..

I took my elderly mum in for a pub lunch at The Park Tavern. We sat inside just by the door to the sunny garden. The friendly barman kindly carried our drinks for us as I helped my mum up the steps to our table....Once seated we chose our food. I was very pleased to see a range of vegetarian and vegan options. We both enjoyed our tasty sandwiches (soft fresh bread and well filled). There was some lovely music playing and a relaxed ambiance. Periodically the barman would walk through the pub checking that everything was ok and if we wanted anything else. It was our first time for lunch in a pub in the high street and it was a thoroughly pleasant couple of hours. We will definitely return and would highly recommend.

Generally a very nice local, however if you drink ale watch the staff with the glass shuffle! Let me explain. Look in the beer trays under the ale pumps and you may notice a pint glass. So this is how it works, you order a...pint fresh glass is brought up then exchanged with the glass in the tray that has beer that's been in it for some time and topped up! So instead of having a fresh pint you end up with stale beer topped up from the barrel. So ale drinkers beware!

I only drink in the park Tavern and never had a meal in there. However, out of all the pubs in the surrounding area this has to be the best. I have been visiting this pub for the past five years and never had a...bad pint. The service and friendly atmosphere is first class. It is old fashioned, but very homely'pub and the landlady doesn't allow riff-raft' which makes it ideal for a pleasant place to visit.
