They don't use microwaved eggs or bacon; instead, they serve fresh bagels and even have original Snapple, which is rare to find in Denver. Eating here genuinely transports me back to Long Island. Overall, it's far better than places like Einstein's, Moe's Bagels, Bagel Deli, Bruegger's, Rosenberg's, and Woodgrain.
As a New Yorker, I typically approach establishments with "NYC" in their name with a bit of skepticism. My expectations are high, and I often anticipate them to live up to the originals. However, NYC Bagel and Sandwich Shop comes remarkably close. While it may not be *exactly* like what you'd find in New York, it's certainly a worthy rival! I highly recommend checking it out!
The food here is incredibly delicious, and I've almost sampled the entire menu! The woman at the restaurant always remembers my name when I arrive. Be sure to try their smoothies—they're amazing!
After four years in the Denver Metro area, I've finally found a spot that makes a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel that can compete with my favorite bagel shops in New York. I'm pretty picky about bagels (and pizza) around here, since most places just don't know how to get them right like they do back east. However, this breakfast sandwich was so delicious that it took me straight back to NY. Thank you, NYC Bagel and Sandwich Shop!
The staff were welcoming, and the New York bagels were excellent! I tried the egg everything bagel, which is the best indicator of a genuine New York bagel. The prices were quite reasonable as well. I'm not sure how long they have been around, but I can't believe I just found them! I will definitely be coming back!
